Fremont Art Walk August: Harold Hollingsworth

Stop by Soundspeed and check out a rad artist, our friend Harold Hollingsworth. We will be displaying Harold's speed racing inspired works, "Slots Stripes and Numbers", throughout the month of August. Swing by for some booze and snacks at the Fremont 1st Friday's Opening Party from 7-9pm on August 1st.

Harold says: "I've held a fascination with slot cars since I was a kid. They were fantasy made real as a child, shooting around a track that friends and I made, changing corners, making longer straights, faster, and faster. . .

The customizing came next and it was off to the races, the key that unlocked me as an artist. This was my starting point, and I returned with this work for a while just to check in, to take a lap, see how it felt again. Hopefully the work warrants the spin around the track, I say it felt pretty good taking out some of the old cars and helmets and seeing them in the paintings, seeing where I was, and where I'm at."
